Hilltop Christian Community Development Corporation (HCCDC) is reclaiming and restoring the neighborhood surrounding Hilltop Lutheran Church.

Our 15-year vision is to see a holistically restored neighborhood, build a Christian community fully engaged in the process of transformation, and continue its development under local leadership.

But a neighborhood—like a church—is its people. And so with prayer for guidance, we seek to do God’s will on The Hill by meeting the needs of our neighbors, especially for:

• safe, affordable, quality housing,
• jobs and job training in support of returning prisoners and others
• kids’ recreation and education.

Prayer guides us.

HCCDC proclaims the motto “Where hope lives” with confidence in the promises and faithfulness of the One who says in Jeremiah 29:11&12 (NIV): “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”

In order to remain completely in step with God’s plan on the Hill, a neighborhood prayer team meets regularly to discern how to build a Christian community fully engaged in the process of transformation, and how to best meet the needs of its people. He has brought us to this point and continues to shape, inform, and guide every action of HCC and the Hilltop Lutheran/UALC congregation.

We invite you to join us at Hilltop Lutheran at 10:00 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month as we seek God’s will and give Him the glory “Where hope lives.”
